We are all well aware that celebrated Italian designer Roberto Cavalli rejects the statement that fashion is more important financially than the visual beauty it affords, so how does that tie in with the announcement that he is unveiling a bespoke service to his more wealthy clients? Calling this new service Roberto Cavalli Saint-Honoré, it will be offering made-to-measure dresses created in Paris, with prices for a cocktail dress starting at a staggering ˆ30,000!
This will in no way be a large scale operation, with Roberto’s wife Eva stating that only thirty-five dresses will be created each year. She also said that it will not be the start of a new couture collection but instead an addition to the service already offered to Cavalli’s celebrity clientele. Eva went on to say that those clients who require “that something extra special” now have a means of getting it. Apart from cocktail dresses, the new Cavalli service will also offer eveningwear and wedding dresses as well.
